While We Await, Pt. 2

I didn't want to overwhelm anyone on too long a post, so I'm breaking up the continuation of (In the Kingdom of the Fungi Pt 1) ..staggering it a little. So it'll be poetry first- then pt 3)?
Inspiration is from the book of Hebrews and the writings of T. A. Sparks. Now by all means, so we can remain fuzzy- go ahead and click the link to make sure he isn't a nut ball)?
OK, this is me pondering the realms of time & space (in case you didn't quite realize where I was coming from or going to in (part 1). So briefly..what I mean by altered states and drugs- even to induce one, or just escape -is similar to
not entering His rest (on another level of course)- still, if missing the apprehension of faith. In other words, we often fall into either waiting for something to happen or attempt to fill everything in with a bunch of activity. But I would say the former is strictly an attempt to get past the earthly.

Timeless Apprehension of Faith~
Waiting for that ship to come in
But ships they come
Like moods that flow
Jobs, positions
Will surely go
&
All that winds-up
What's official~

Drugs
Like Avatars
&
Altered states
There just looking
For another space
Just like ships
That come an go

Jobs, positions
Like moods-
They'll flow

"For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His", Heb 4:10

While "both the creation itself and our body "await" the manifestation of the sons of God"..the consummation of the redemptive work)) and though we may grown under it..yet-

Heb 4:1-3 reminds us "Therefore, let us fear if, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you may seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. For we who have believed enter that rest.."

The key to everything is -Acts 1: 7-8"But ye..." The disciples were interested in something objective to themselves, and yet in which they would have a place - the kingdom of Israel.. But the Lord said, 'No, it is not teachings, nor truths; not a movement, an enterprise, a kingdom.' All that was to be subsequent to getting the men,
and getting the men inwardly in the position which was necessary.
"But ye.."

A double lizard shadow, how cool is that? I also love the header, it's really almost an illusion, isn't it? Two pictures in one, a dreamy mono chrome and a second one. Separate the grass and the horses and you have two different pictures, one a foggy, dreamlike monochrome, and another color one of horses on grass. Then put the two together. I think you are saying that altered states bespeak not having enough faith, we cannot be still before God because we always need something to be happening, perhaps we are not happy just being still and alone, we don't know how and it makes un uncomfortable. We have to EXPERIENCE something, but having faith is not needing the experience, isn't it? Faith is the hope of things not seen, so if we have these altered state experiences, faith goes out the window.

The leaves with lizards are great. I am still pondering whether they are related to any evidence of things not seen?

Greetings Steffi! Thanks for the visit and your thoughts!
Hey there Doro- I really appreciate you!

Ginny- (this is a ramble) thanks, ya, I would say so..and your exactly right about faith going out the window..so in those altered states, I mean, most people wouldn't be doing it if they knew about or understood the cross- it simply can't be bypassed as it is His way; That's what the yogi or guru (known as the riders) are doing when they get themselves into that realm and why they often speak of incredible energy and power. Christ was perfected through suffering..but if I recall during the 80's,- (the name it and claim it thing) that was going around, wasn't so keen about suffering either?
All to say, God's way..His purpose- there can't be any short cuts. Now the other is either waiting or based on so much outward contrivance..because it should begin first with us rather than trying to make something happen all the time? Do we have to look at our chart, then check off this, that and so forth? Hmm, scratch the chin.. now I can see something here (grin)

Rainfield..the lizards or Chameleon's look as though they are waiting to me (lol) Thank you for visiting- I enjoyed this-

I agree with you on the Yoga thing, everyone says it's so good for your health, and there are many disguised forms, I have been tempted, but haven't. Thanks for your lovely comments, but if I'm good, it's because you always keep me on my toes, having thoughts almost beyond my grasp, but by actually using my brain to the max, it all comes together. Your thoughts are challenging and intreguing, I'm so glad I found you.

I'm out of words my friend. Your header is breathtaking. Like we are racing with horses. (Jeremiah).

THE LIZARD, MONO AND ALL PHOTOS ARE AWESOME!

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

Wishing you wonderful day and weekend.
