They Lived Upon The- I Shall

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness;
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness"
Psalm 17:15

(A slightly neglected 18' x 4' bed)

Just wanted to share
my garden of Walking Blue Iris's
with some thoughts I'd penned-
and those compiled below

Really, it's quite a sight to see first thing-
new buds graced with softly fallen rain-
*
Gazing up
Into
A new day's glistening rays
Droplets tumble through
Translucent pores
In depths, I stare
In what appears
For a moment
I consider the future

Falling rain
Seemed to mirror the present
`:`
``
Will we shape it
In time
Before it reaches?

 Ever moving
Past the present
To join the future~
****

"As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness;
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness"
Psalm 17:15
The Psalmist looks beyond the grave into another world; he overlooks the narrow death-bed where he has to sleep, and he says, "when I awake"

"I shall be honoured when my head shall sleep in the grave."
and they lived upon the
 "shall "
and fed upon the
future.
"I shall be satisfied"

You've taken my breath away today, Gina!! Honestly!! Your hidden realms are the stuff dreams are made of. Of course I can see those fairies dancing and the scarf!! Perhaps he's molting? So nature is buying him a new outfit. I love your thoughts and poetry. I sense depression, though. Many of the men of the bible and famous poets did their best work when depressed, and could not write if they were happpy. The header is so wonderful, what are those pink flowers? You have seen my posts of the carpenter bees we have here. They have a bit of yellow on them. We have no black ones that I've ever seen. Your music is back!!! Your bird sleeps on your thumb when you type?? You need a picture of this!!! Either shoot one-handed or get someone else to take it. How sweet!!! Hope you have a great weekend! Dance in the flowers for me, Gina!!! Twirl and laugh in the sun, I can't anymore.

"I shall"

Nice to be reminded that we have choice and the ability to decide. And if we work we can gain the wisdom to be satisfied with some of our decisions.

Mind-blowing beauty in those photos. Love the little scarf on the lizard, :) Do you get all wet down there gathering those pictures?

Falling rain Seemed to mirror the present, hope that it never forget to tell the future.

I shall feel great about that.

I feel very great too about that chameleon, as handsome as me.

Ginny,wow..that was encouraging and interesting..I think you have a good point about friction (lol). That lizard was shedding and that's a fire cracker tree:)
Glad you enjoyed him Doro!
Penny- thanks..hope your feeling better!
Katina, I'm glad you stopped by..happy blog-a-versary!
Leenie, thank you for you kind words..this was actually about envy..The Psalmist is looking beyond the grave and having an eye to the future- he is above envy, because he thinks that the joy would be no joy to him (my redeemer is mine) "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied by-and-bye" then we cannot envy other men, because their lot would not be adapted to our peculiar taste-
(I figured it was getting long enough, thanks..and ya, I do get wet:)
Rainfields..he is a smart looking fellow isnt't he!

Hi Regina!
Very nice photos from your garden! I also got irises in my garden in Sweden, but what I never will see there is lizards! :)
Thanks for your sweet comment on my chestnuts!
