Bird Brained Discussions

Pros & Cons of freedom..

You mean your trying to say I've been that bad to you as a mother?
 Let's just say you haven't always been there for me..

Look, I'm not hungry!

Alright I admit, I could of done better..I'm sorry then!
 (Sniff sniff)..
You mean it?
Of course, come off it..
I even bought you your own cage so your siblings would stop picking on you!
Hmm,
Well maybe I'm not so sure
I want to go back and live in a cage again..

You think she has a point?
(My Myna got got out this morning)..though I have a good idea of what might of spooked him..hmm?

What a great picture story!!! Love the birds, they are exotic to me, what are they? I love the yellow mask and feet. They seem quite tame??

Well, you've certainly captured a new reader! My grandmother kept Mynahs at the nursery they had years ago at Knott's Berry Farm. I love your photo essay of your miscreant baby. We have a Nanday Conure and a little clown cockatiel. I had Spike on my shoulder, and forgetting, walked out under the patio cover where he was startled. He flew off down the street, so I took off after him, whistling like a mad woman. He would whistle back but I couldn't fine him. My husband found him - he had flown into a field behind our house and it was the dead of winter. He flew off again and made it across the street into a weeping willow. Husband was able to talk him down. I was as frightened as he was! This happened once before when some repairman let him out accidentally. The little guy is gonna give me a heart attack. BTW, he's 19 years old.
~~~Another amazing coincidence: My great-grandparents "settled" the Covina Plains! (Mid-to late 1800's.) He was a minister in the Church of the Brethren. The old homestead was sold in the '70s, and of course, a shopping center ensued.
Thanks for all of the beauty and inspiration! I especially love the shimmery sidebar of the little feathered guy. Do you have a flock?
~~~Blessings~~~

The myna in my neighborhood told me not to believe in your story.

Pros and cons of freedom?

Of course, they enjoy wandering around with their another half.

Penny..thanks..I realized I didn't say hi..hugs..I'm seriously going to make some cinnamon bread! Power of suggestion (grin)
Rainfields, there you are (lol)..ya, I bet you get a lot of these goof balls hopping around in your neck of the woods! They've escaped (now the fourth time), though I'm not sure who's who..but I seem to be able to reason with them, hah

Hi Regina, I do believe that it is great to bloom where you are planted and be faithful in what you are doing so kudos to you (response to your comment on my blog) ;-)

Hi Penny, I read your response..why I said (so what is enough)..for anyone? I think we look around and see all the problems..so yes, many organizations are great in and of themselves but poverty can't be the focus, otherwise things get skewed..maybe why Jesus said, "you'll always have the poor among you"..I mean we know He's bigger than destitution and the situation in regard to orphans etc..but by making Him (building up the body- which is sadly neglected) as the primary focus, it would natually take care of the other)..it's like breathing?

Amazing Gracie..if you happen to see this..sorry, I just realized what you said after I posted my reply.."My great-grandparents "settled" the Covina Plains! (Mid-to late 1800's.) How fascinating..and it appears to be quite a history there as well:)

Hello there Madeline, thanks..for your visit- please stop by anytime!

Let's be perfectly clear- the war on free speech is spiritual!
