A Time For Every Season

ove Bird

Maybe common, but never ordinary..

"He has made everything beautiful in it's time"
Ecc 3:11
Peachy Pie~
was life and color..a constant companion for the last decade.
He was given to us in mid August of 2001 and yesterday this August we said our goodby's.
I'd sensed his time was drawing near, so I began to watch him closly.
Suddenly, his breathing became fast and labored by late afternoon. So I grabbed him from his perch, put him on my chest then whispered a prayer. My husband made it over just in time to kiss his head before he gently closed his eyes. We were amazed at how peaceful and quickly he'd passed.. that we could be there.
He reminded me of a little fairy who loved to interact with everyone. I didn't take him outside much..
Only he's free now~

And so too-
"Remember him--before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well"

Oh, I am so sorry. He was a real sweetie. So glad he passed away with his best friends and peacefully. Maybe at peace because you were there.

Sorry is the hardest word to say.

But it is too late to tell him.

Peachy Pie was a gorgeous bird. And I am sure he will be dearly missed. I am glad you had 11 years to enjoy him, he had a great home with you. It is nice that he passed peacefully in your arms. Regina, I am so sorry.

My sympathies for the loss of your friend Peachy Pie. I know this train only goes in one direction and we must make peace with that. There must be some beauty in our passing that is to difficult to understand. We wait for answers patiently, until then, I wish you strength!

Hi there - poor old bird! Not a good time for Love Bird's, my brother's bird went the same way!

I think that a cockatoo would be fun - if possibly a bit damaging to your house! They are also very long lived as far as I know.

Cheers - Stewart M - Australia

Oh, what a beautiful friend you had in Peachy Pie. We lost our Cockatiel a few years ago and I still miss him.

This is a lovely tribute.

I'm sorry to hear such a sad news. I know you loved him very much. Why did he leave us and go there in a hurry・・・(ノ△・。) However, I believe he will get a pair of wonderful wings and blushing cheek and fly back to your home after finishing his job.(@Θ@) Come Along!

What is the equivalent years for 20 human years to a bird?
