Head Trips- Why Salt May Effect Our Judgment?

If your not up for the read, I do hope you'll enjoy the photos- thanks

Seeking the truth is a step..then gravity somehow begins pulling at us..reeling us into the center. A couple days ago, I did a little entertaining for a couple of folks who dropped in- barely in the same room at the same time..Interesting, I'd kind of describe it as oppressive only because it revolved around much bitterness, blame and that sort of thing (divorce)..where your sort of stuck in this realm for a time. So I just prayed, besides, there wasn't any reception..but neither was there a point outside for them to bring that sorrow, negativity or wounding to (as in perspective or better light) ..there is but they haven't done so. (I'll get back to this in a minute)

(A couple days go by)

Yesterday morning, I was sprinkling salt on snails and slugs that were chowing down on my flowers in the flower bed. Salt is deadly for them, but biblically, many of you know salt symbolizes both death and life as an offering with the sacrifice. What could be a better example than hurt, resulting in corruption or devastation..yet having an entirely new life in Christ? It's like a sunflower popping out of the compost!

A Connection? Possibly..
One thing I've noticed, lots of folks will point to the government as if our troubles have always started there. (I've been doing a lot of pointing too)!! But don't we make up the population which has influenced the shift in this country and beyond? Well, the political landscape has kind of morphed into the very religious one- many have ironically characterized (in a derogatory sense..as if religious could only be referring to some Christian sect or denomination)! Well, this connection came to me because many religious folks have approached my property from time to time (before we had a gate). I reasoned that they'd come because obviously, they had something they wanted to say to me?Well, honestly, no one group was really on my mind, just making an illustration for the following point)..

Reception and Judging:

We often hear that we aren't suppose to judge others, right? Well this is my understanding- if you don't have forgiveness, then what are you left with is blame or judgement -but judgement (as in finality)..within the natural realm - where guilt and bitterness is perpetuated.
However, are most people open to hearing what you have to say? How about if they were coming to your door? More importantly, do you think many people define themselves by what they don't or won't do (I don't go there, I don't drink this, I don't wear that, I don't celebrate ..)? Don't get me wrong..it's perfectly fine if you don't, but you think there might be a connection here with the same judgement as in finality?

What about you..do you keep things open if someone doesn't agree with you? If an individual you know happens to be a thief or appears kind of sleazy, (a conclusion we arrived at hopefully, from what I'd call- healthy critical judgement - essential I might add)..but do you simply write them off or will you keep some sort of opening (maybe for a future encounter)- perhaps the same way you'd like to be treated, i.e., (they could change)..I don't mean that they'll begin to see everything your way necessarily? See, you could be of any political persuasion- yet simply have your mind made up in the same way?

Anyway, I just wanted to illustrate the difference in this round-about way, that we indeed (and should) critique, analyze and judge, but the difference is -without finality~ where we keep an opening? Do you think that would work in our favor too? Lastly, could our views have anything to do with the way we view redemption?
Below, is some info and links I've included- in regard to salt..

"Salt is born of the purest of parents: the sun and the sea." ~Pythagoras

It is probably this, more than for any other reason, that some of the great civilizations first developed near deserts, and in desert climates: for example the Mediterranean, Mesoamerica, and Babylonia, at the edges of the "arid" zones. and close to known salt sources ....and in spite of the hardships of living in such inhospitable places.

The requirement in ancient times, and to this day, was to prevent the meat from deteriorating so that it could be kept long enough, to allow its gradual consumption over a period of time after the slaughter of the animal.

“Salt must be mingled with the substance to which it is added; it must penetrate and infuse in order to preserve.
Jesus, ~ “Lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Pt. 1:19

The shedding of blood signifies a violent death, killing or murder. Life is associated with blood that flows through our veins. Life was given up in the pouring out of its precious blood. Death occurred. ..The "blood of Christ" is a clear expression for the death of Christ. Blood is the symbol of sacrificial death; a life poured out in death. .. Hebrews 9:22 summarizes the whole Old Testament teaching on sacrifice. " And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness."

The whole Old Testament sacrifices find their fulfillment in the blood of Christ in His sacrificial death (Hebrews 9:7-28; 13:11-12).

First, your photos are breath-taking. How you managed such shots is beyond me. Thanks!

The text is pretty deep stuff. Negativity only begets more of itself. Sad some people cannot see that, either because they enjoy wallowing in misery or because it has become an illness that requires outside help to cure.

Hope and love are so healing. But healing also takes time and patience and often enduring pain. Tough lessons to learn. But, then, isn't that why we are here?

Yes, it was the blood, not a single bone was broken. It is so important not to say, 'Well, I don't believe that, I am right and you are wrong!" Nothing turns someone off more! And makes them clam up and not feel like talking to us. To them, you have judged that they are all wrong, even if they clearly are....your header, a fern?? It looks like ornamental wrought iron!!

In some of the great civilizations we always see someone is hiding behind, only the ugly pair of hands are exposed, (unfortunately the lizard is a good example for this time), and here those manapulations start.

last week my hubby was in the middle of the park field flying his radio control plane. a woman came trudging accross the field and said Are you a Christian? he said yes. her answer was are you Sure? that is the wrong way to go about this.

"VERY thought provoking" seems almost trite to describe the thoughts and emotions that this post has stirred up in me.
I'm a reader of historical fiction and this post brings to mind how many people were persecuted and martyred for their beliefs as judged by church and state.
My roommate is a nonbeliever and daily fills this house with negativity. So, I struggle daily with judgment issues. I often wonder why God has led me to this place. I think that is why this post has impacted me so much.
There is only One who is the final Judge.

I'm always inspired by your photos.

Hi there Regina..finally getting back on line! Hugs:)
Wow..thanks Judy- I was happy to read your comment this morning and it just picked me up- I appreciate your kind thoughts and for taking the time to share them! It seems like such a battle here, where we often feel like strangers (pilgrims I guess) huh? I enjoyed your visit-

Let's be perfectly clear- the war on free speech is spiritual!
