Very edible..more common but delicious. We call the red strawberry..
Believe it or not, they make a ton of juice (I use an old Acme juicer). As you can see, there isn't much difference as far as color variation inside..the outside is just added visual.
Even the little black seeds are delightful to leave in if your making jam..along with what you see-pectin (adhering to skin surrounding the fruit) - you can soak that overnight then chop it up..it looks lovely- (but that's jam).. I just made my mom (who'll make 89yrs on the 23rd of this month. and dad of course -Lilikoi- Passion Cheesecake!
The last two pink above here are wild -Growing along Saddle Rd-
Fruit is sausage shaped (right side)and more of
an orange color when ripe.. very edible, though lacking a little tang as they are rather bland. I am really curious to know if anyone else has this variety?
Well, I'm Wishing All The Mums Out There A Very Special Mother's Day!!

What brilliant, radiant flowers. The passion fruit makes me wish for a taste - spare a bit?
Hi Regina, what a brilliant post. All those flowers are gorgeous and I want to thank you for sharing them with Today's Flowers. Cute little tail there in the first two, I'm assuming it was a lizard of sorts? Your jam and cheesecake sounded delicious. Happy Mother's Day to you and your dear Mom.
I thought I left a comment here but in case it didn't go through, I said that I love the vibrant rich colors on the first shots and raindrops are always so beautiful to me on flowers. I also love the delicate flowers in the last shot. The passion fruit sounds great in so many different uses.
Lovely, I wish that I could taste it.
Happy Mother's Day!

Wow1 You've captured bees in flight! I have never heard of these flowers or this fruit. Is that Passion Flower fruit? I didn't know they had fruit! But the last picture is just lovely, the flowers and fruit both being such a pretty pastel.
