Sweet & Sour

Kitty and pooch sitting for son's birthday last week-

North Korea Ranked Second Happiest Place on Earth . . . By North Korea…
Hey, could this be why the -Obama Administration Puts Israel On List Of Countries That Support Terrorism, Removes North Korea ?? And in the U.N. he trusts--- who elects Iran as vice president and appointed North Korea head of its Conference on Disarmament, a 65-member arms control forum?
Honestly..that's precisely the reason why I find it so difficult to blog anymore?

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"
Isaiah 5:20

(Live footage smuggled out here)
According to a global happiness index (cough) released in North Korea, the country and its allies are the most cheerful countries in the world. Naturally, the “American Empire” strikes Pyongyang as just plain sad.
Is that so? Well, we like to photograph kittens here in America..wonder why they'd rather eat them?
The United States places dead last, coming in 203rd. South Korea is nearly just as depressed a nation; it ranks 152nd on the list!
China is the happiest place on the planet, earning 100 points (a perfect score!). At number two is none other than North Korea itself. Cuba, Iran and Venezuela (in that order) round out the top five.

Below is the plot description for a series of films (found here) produced by a South Korean director Shin Sang-ok,, who was kidnapped by the North Koreans.
Set in the medieval past  from 1985, it resembles
the situation in modern day Korea, where the regime puts brutal repression ahead of feeding and taking care of the people.
“In feudal Korea, the evil King becomes aware that there is a peasant rebellion being planned in the country. He steals all the iron farming tools and cooking pots from the people so that he may make weapons to fend off the peasant army. After he returns the property to the people, an old blacksmith is imprisoned and starved to death. His last creation is a tiny figurine of a monster- Pulgasari, a Godzilla-like creature that eats iron. The blood of his daughter brings the creature to life, and fights with the poor, starving peasants to overthrow the corrupt monarchy.

Hey my friend, be encouraged by these words "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Phillipians 4:8

Don't give up blogging because of the darkness. Let your light shine to dispel the darkness. Rest if you must, but don't quit. There are no rules about how often you have to write and share your thoughts although I suppose if a blog is dormant too long it might disappear (am not just about that part). Love and hugs. xx

Hi! Regina.
Both cats and human can't choose a birth place. I'm sorry of hearing the little boy who live in North Korea. They are unhappy to have the self-centered imperator. At least, I would like not to be a imperator but a protector of our companion animals. I'm glad of seeing your companion animals are so happy.

Thanks Penny, that's one of my favorites (I really appreciate your words of encouragement today),and ya, I think exposure is one way to defeat the darkness for the more than 250,00 voiceless hidden away in the gulags. Part of being an overcomer? It feels odd, I haven't been away for this long (I think)
Anne, me too..much rather be a protector! I'm happy you stopped by-wishing you a lovely weeken!
Anya, yes it is sweet and sour (smile). It's my son's new kitten and little dog (my new one is in the background on one of those). I'm so glad you enjoyed them, (hugs to you all)..

I am so happy to see you again, though you never ring my bell, knock my door, or call my number.

I am so happy to see light after a long night, so beautiful and cheerful.

I am so happy the Earth is still spinning, not for them, but for everyone of us.

I love your kitty pictures, Gina!! And your header is just amazing, a sparkling leaf! I did not know that North Korea is off the list, too bad. If I think about the plight of the world too much, it is not good. It is awful and overwhelming. I believe God places us where we are to brighten our own space and try to do what we can and help others where we are. If we worry all the time about the future, not good, the bible tells us just enough for the day. Likewise I believe that taking on the whole world is overwhelming,it is enough just to deal with and help out in our own space. We just need to pray for the leaders and there's nothing much else really to do. I hope you will be having a great Fourth, drop me a line and let me know how you are.

lol) yes rainfield..I'm am too. Thank you!!
Ginny, ya, I think if it turns you in knots..that's one thing (we know where we can go)..always, so we don't become cynical or bitter (scriptural). We experience suffering so we can feel for others and lift them up. I think these things are here and serve as a reminder to stand in some way for those who are defensless- (for example- the N. Korean who took the time to smuggle that footage out)..it is the Christian's who risk their lives scattered here and there), as China will send them back..So we can pray for them. If the media wasn't part of the problem- then it wouldn't be nearly as bad? Thanks for sharing.
