An Amusing Break~ Tma Svetlo Tma

OK, this is a lighter video you may prefer and find almost as amusing as I did?
It is pretty ingenious..
 Now I'll be back before Thanksgiving (heh heh)
Oh, don't fret..only a little clay nudity in here (snicker)
~~

Now for some background on the Jan Svankmajer
He was born in Prague in 1934, to a window dresser father and dressmaker mother. At the age of eight, he was given a puppet theater for Christmas, giving birth to a love of puppetry and fantasy that would stand him in good stead in later life
 (You can read more about his fascinating background here)
~~~
Now the next video by 16 Horsepower- now Woven Hand, may not be to your liking, but these two brothers- The Quays, or better known as the brothers Quay- (did all the moving chalk and that below) are characterized by love of detail. The imaginary, the mystical and the fairytale, all possess in their movies a haunting relationship with colour and texture by means of their special use of focus and camera movement. As I understand, they had been influenced by Jan Svankmajer.
They are masters of miniaturization and on their tiny sets they have created an unforgettable world, suggestive of a landscape of long-repressed, nostalgic childhood dreams. (more here)They have also directed pop promos for His Name is Alive, Michael Penn, Sparklehorse, (16 Horsepower below), and Peter Gabriel (contributing to his "Sledgehammer" video).
(The ending of this video is so cool)
Okay, that was really odd. People's creations never cease to amaze me. It is boggeling to think what was necessary to produce such a video. What did the world ever do without the digital tools to express our imagination and the internet to share it??????
So glad to see you're back!!! The first video is creepy, kinda funny especially when the brains slink under the door!! It ends creepy though. The second one, I love that song and have watched it twice! Cool song and very cool banjo!! But what am I missing, anything? His soul comes out of his boday and dances, is there something deeper here or it it just what it seems to be?You are ALWAYS so out of the ordinary and out there, that's one of the reasons I like you, I get a jolt and shock whenever I come! Kinda like crack! Addicted? Maybe...
Thanks for sharing this Regina...fascinating creativity. I did get freaked out by the tongue sequence though lol. You would probably appreciate the TCM special about early film making and the rise of Hollywood. They show it on Mondays. Hope you have an awesome weekend.
Very weird claymation video but I really enjoyed it except for seeing the "finished man" stuck in such an awkward position. I hadn't heard of Jan Svanmajer before but I find there are some really interesting artists that have come out of Prague. I enjoyed the video of 16 Horsepower too and again, I've never heard of them. Thanks for putting us onto some very creative people. Glad to see you back too :-)
Various culture's imagination gives me a new imagination I can never find by myself.
You can generate imaginative ideas from them.
Thanks for sharing my "paper pain", lol. It is not as bad as it was 3 years ago so I have made some progress. I look forward to my holiday starting next week. I pray mom will be fine until I return. In the meantime my brother has agreed to be there for her and travel up to spend some time with her. Please pray she will remain in reasonably good condition and grow from strength to strength. She recently lost her family doctor and now this will make it more difficult to oversee her condition. Once she is in a home she will have a doctor there.
The first video is very funny. This may be the way how a magician enters into a small box.
