Perseus With The Head of Medusa

I know I know..quite an imagination huh?
Oh, I don't know what I did but the date isn't right.. I posted today-Tuesday!
Maybe you'd like to guess what this photo really is?

I just saw "Clash of the Titans" last week (the earlier one that came out in 1981) It was Pretty good actually and not at all cheesy. Well, I was just struck with that era..couldn't help think about where I was..how they played their part in the sunshine that was then.. back in time, but gone now.. Funny, with a little nostalgia, you just get a glimpse of this mystery, time. Ha, I loved it!

Well Harry Hamlin played Perseus along with Andromeda played by Judi Bowker. The odd thing was, I couldn't believe how much Perseus looked like Mick Jagger!! (lol) I didn't say anything, but about half way through, my other half (who never gave them any mind) says.."you know, he looks just like that musician"! (Clicking the H.H. link takes you to a trailer (found more similarity than in the photo)

Above, a celebration with some theatrics in regard to the release of an album back then.

I'll spare you the most recent theatrics (as you probably know this crew is still carrying on after five decades)- Are we only surprised viewing these antics while younger? Or, does one think perhaps, they might not go that far?

One thought I had in regard to youth..might be the belief it has a handle on time (powerful too I might add)...when it becomes obvious that's not the case..it's still pretty hard to let go? What do you think?

My aim is to carry this theme (Perseus with the head of Medusa)- over to the next post, pulling together some of this past weekends Random Musings..trying my best to avoid a longish post?

"It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption."
1 Co 1:30
For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified...so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 1 Co 2:2-5
~ as it may be just as powerful (in a hypnotic sense)
and equally hard to trust as it is to let go of youth? developing..

This is an intriguing post...I really like the scriptures. I saw the latest film Clash of the Titans and thought it was all right. I think the original may be good so I want to check it out. Take care Regina

What IS that thing in the first picture??? Funny, I just finished watching Larry King interview Mick Jagger! He wrote that he hopes he dies before he gets old, guess he didn't get his wish. My blog list tells me that you posted this three days ago, but that can't be right as it wasn't there yesterday, and you have no comments yet. But your date above says you posted it on Friday? I'm really confused. Yes, you have a point about youth, time is nothing to them, and nothing bad will ever happen to them, only to others. In reply to your question about my sunset post. I took the pictures as we were driving down the highway. And my husband said it reminded him of this hymn. So when I got home, I looked up the words. Thanks for your interest in that and your comments. By the way, I never let go of youth, it let go of me. Looking forward to your future ideas and thought provoking writing and pictures.

A lot to think about. Youth v.s. wisdom. By the time you have to give up youth you should have a little wisdom. I do see a lot of people without either, though. Sometimes I wonder about the wisdom of Mr. Jagger AND Mr. L. King. And Harry Hamlin is much better looking than both of them.

A powerful and a necessary Word for such a time as this. God bless xx
p.s. Is the top photo one of the Bird of Paradise?

Hi Katina..I haven't seen the new one yet, you may enjoy this. Thanks too-
Ginny, I'm going to do what you do often..you have to guess as to what that is, ha. So you saw an older interview with L. K..Leenie you did too? I'll have to check that out. Oh, so that was how it went- while you were driving along..how sweet! Thank you Ginny!
Hey Leenie..glad for your visit- I know exactly what you mean!
Hello Joyful- beautiful- thanks! This isn't but the colors do look similar. I'll wait a bit and see if anyone can guess. Its a bit unusual huh! Have a good evening-

No this wasn't an old interview, it's brand new. Mick is promoting the re-release of Exile On Main Street with previously unrealsed songs on it. It was recorded in a basement and there's going to be a documentary on it for sale on D.V.D. You can go to CNN.com and see a video snippet of the interview and partial transcript. Now isn't that more than you ever wanted to know?

Ginny, your a riot..you know the phot0 above is actually the celebration they did for Exile back in "72"! I just realized I need to put that link in..I only read a little and this was part of the slide your talking about I'm sure! I'll check that out- thanks! (grin) I saw a fairly recent picture of H. Hamlin's wife and thought, she better watch out cause Ursala Andress looks like she has difficulty smiling..and we know what that means.. (lol)

Time twists and turns on the way we are getting older.

Hi Rainfields- thanks for your thoughts..it feels like we enter a new phase with its passing then challenges to go with? At least we get the opportunity to gain wisdom (lol).

Let's be perfectly clear- the war on free speech is spiritual!
