Now About The Medusa..

Meantime.. still fiddling with my musings or musing over my fiddling?
This is a Yellow Ohia Lehua Blossom (was really windy, making it difficult to photograph)

(I've posted this one before)-
Red Lehua Blossom- just opening below..(official Island flower)

I happen to think it's a beautiful tree, only more so in the upper elevations!

Below, a fallen Lehua blossom -in the rain, which attached itself to a Bromeliad Flower beginning to open.

Lamentations 3:22-24 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. "The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."

I had to do this for effect! Go on now and enlarge it- (grin)

Crashed out on a Bromeliad leaf!

Wonder what that would feel like in the mid morning sun? ha..

These are beautiful photos. I see now what the name of the "flower" is...love the salamander (or green thingy, lol). Especially where it is sleeping. cute.

I went to the link and read the legend of the tree, and am I glad I did! I love legends anyway, but this is about the best I've read! I would urge all your followers to go to this link and read it. The flower is incredible, ickky, and beautiful all at once, I guess kind of like the Medusa? The photos blow mt mind, but that lizard in the stem, you must have photoshopped or altered it?? Because surely you don't see things like this all the time?? Or do you?

Thanks Doro & Joyful..I think the Lizard on the bottom had a rough night, ha!
Hi Ginny..I had you in mind with that link! It is kind of neat huh! Now what your seeing is two different flowers- one is just a shell from a flower that budded (mere casing)..(top is what it looked like)- stuck to the new white flower emerging from a Bromeliad below(the Chameleon's ice cream) lol! About the only thing I did was crop that guy with some minor color adjusting..
highlighted or darkend? I use Picasa cause I'm a big baby..it's easy. They love that plant..so I'm always trying to catch them when it's in bloom..(I take lots cause they run). Thanks Ginny-
Hi Katina, thank you..glad you stopped by!

Ok, so I enlarged that adorable lizard and he is smiling really big. I think it is because he is so well hidden, he looks just like the plant, as God intended him to. Love it. and who knew what the mystery was, not me. but now I do. I forgot to look at the legend but am headed there next.

I was totally jazzed on the hibiscus flower, the only thing that would jazz me more is to get one like your lizard on the plant today.

Let's be perfectly clear- the war on free speech is spiritual!
