Standing over the kitchen sink
While the water fills a skillet
I'm in the middle of a new day
Suds begins to float up in tiny bubbles
I imagine myself
Lying in the grass-
Watching all the clouds pass
What am I now
Next to some 2 O'clock flower?
Me..
Turning, like the petals
By the hour
Chimes below the roof
Sound like
Some city church bells
But I-
Just a shadow
Arms sometimes stiff-
Like an oak tree
Wiser I would hope
An all my mulberry's
Turn into pies
Dark twisted stems
Burgundy leaves..
Colors of fall, peer
Behind my vase
A kaleidoscope in all
Season's held captive
Along my wall
Still what am I?
Ps. 139: 8-12
"If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will lay hold of me. If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,” Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.."

I agree.
I will be always here.
Though I sometimes lose sight of it.
You will be here, too.
I cannot feel merely it.

Hi Regina. Whew! this is my second attempt to post my comment. I hope this time it will work, am having some problems with my internet.
What a great poetry,as always. I wish I could rhyme like you. I did try once, twice and so on but I feel like just keeping my poems in my file archives...I don't know...ahhhh.
Thanks for sharing that thought provoking verse from the bible.
Great captures, as always. Fine and dark lines are so vivid even in black and white. You must be delighted with those shots and you have a nice subject. Am pretty sure that you stayed for a while to take some great snaps of those critters.
A blessed day to you and to your family.
