cara Kilauea Poetry.......just read your lovely and so great comments....I love them; nono, the corbezzolo...the ruby fruit doesn't taste like leechy....it isn't that sweet; it's rather like a less sweet pear....but the pulp is sooooo soft!

Your photos are super! I have a fairly young Rambutan, but it hasn't borne any fruit yet. They get about 65' as I understand..bearing fruit twice a year unlike Lychee (which I love). (btw) I like your global map of the Tuscany Coast too! Have a great week-

Silky Oak is a native tree from Australia and certainly prefers warmer climates so you will typically seem them in the tropical north or at the coast but they do grow inland as well. I agree they make a great pairing with the Jacaranda which comes from South Africa. Interesting that you have them too in your part of the world.
