For A Blue Moon

Happy New Year..my very best to all of you as we enter into another decade together! I'm heading out to the other side of the Island (Kona) soon, but will check back (lap top). This is really a blue moon tonight so here is a poem (Kealani was the inspiration) for the occasion- Aloha-

It was just a mere slice of time
But a moment I’ll carry with me
Her by the piano
Barely over seven
Exchanging thoughts

Gently I lifted
A few strands
Of long bronze hair
What had fallen
In between her pink dress
The only thing
That appeared warm
While the humidity
Hung in the entry-way
Was like a picture,
I felt I’d altered

Holding her close
She in turn
Leaned into me

While time ever silently
Moves forward
Will we, allotted in moments brief
Pick up memories fond embrace

And it’s a legacy
We carve out
Most often crude
Though well intentioned
Still we with faces turned
Absorb the rays
In the glow
Of the eternal Son
And so reflect
As the moon
To our fellow
Children of the earth

These are great pictures Regina! I love the beautiful warm tones in the clouds in the first one....those clouds are awesome! I'm so glad you captured the moon, it is a lovely shot of it, surrounded by those clouds. Wishing you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year, Regina...I hope you are blessed many times over.

I didn't get to see the blue moon, we have had clouds and rain and it was hidden. :(

regards,
Eaton

Nice shots of the blue moon. My picture is Ok, but the sky was cloudy and I had a simple camera.

Ønsker det alt godt for 2010!

Great shots and that was a lovely poem. I saw the blue moon last January 1 when me and my husband watched the fireworks in Jumeirah Open Beach in Dubai.

I love your header too, very pretty and I love the color. Macro shot makes me appreciate every detail of it.

Have a wonderful day.
