ove Bird
"He has made everything beautiful in it's time"
Maybe common, but never ordinary..

Peachy Pie~
I'd sensed his time was drawing near, so I began to watch him closly.
Suddenly, his breathing became fast and labored by late afternoon. So I grabbed him from his perch, put him on my chest then whispered a prayer. My husband made it over just in time to kiss his head before he gently closed his eyes. We were amazed at how peaceful and quickly he'd passed.. that we could be there.
He reminded me of a little fairy who loved to interact with everyone. I didn't take him outside much..
Only he's free now~

And so too-
"Remember him--before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well"

Oh, I am so sorry. He was a real sweetie. So glad he passed away with his best friends and peacefully. Maybe at peace because you were there.
ReplyDeleteSorry is the hardest word to say.
ReplyDeleteBut it is too late to tell him.
Peachy Pie was a gorgeous bird. And I am sure he will be dearly missed. I am glad you had 11 years to enjoy him, he had a great home with you. It is nice that he passed peacefully in your arms. Regina, I am so sorry.
ReplyDeleteA lovely little bird... you will have some wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies for the loss of your friend Peachy Pie. I know this train only goes in one direction and we must make peace with that. There must be some beauty in our passing that is to difficult to understand. We wait for answers patiently, until then, I wish you strength!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read about your beautiful Peachy! I know he was so loved.. what a truly gorgeous fella too!! Sending hugs to you. I'm relieved to hear he passed peacefully with his human family. Again... hugs from us to you! Been there, done that a few times now.. and it really never gets any easier. -Tammy
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful bird.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have the memories forever.
Hi there - poor old bird! Not a good time for Love Bird's, my brother's bird went the same way!
ReplyDeleteI think that a cockatoo would be fun - if possibly a bit damaging to your house! They are also very long lived as far as I know.
